What are articulation joints in brickwork?
Articulation joints are vertical gaps built into brick and block walls so the wall can move — with ground movement, temperature and moisture changes — without cracking. They must be filled with a flexible sealant, never mortar: mortar makes the joint rigid and defeats its purpose.
Can you colour-match the sealant to my bricks?
Yes. Sealant ranges from the brands we install come in a wide range of colours, and we match as closely as the range allows so joints blend into the wall instead of striping it.
